SOUTH BEND - Barney E. "Putter" Shilts Jr., 73, formerly of Alpena, MI, died March 31, 2010. He was the son of the late Elizabeth and Barney E. Shilts Sr. He married Judith Lozon on Nov. 7, 1959. She survives along with two daughters, Lori Shilts and Teri Lanning, both of South Bend; son, Brian (Angela) Shilts of FL; brother, James Shilts of Alpena, MI; and three grandchildren, Michayla Marganti, Shannon Lanning and Brianna Clark.
