Ronald D. Shabala

April 4, 1926 – August 26, 1982

Ronald D. Shabala, 56, of 52786 Brandel, died at 2:07pm Thursday in St Joseph’s Medical Center after a lengthy illness.  He was manager of Williams Home Center.

He was born on April 4, 1926, in Olean NY, and lived in South Bend for four years, coming from Gary.  On April 7, 1947, in Olean, he married Dolores who survives.  Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Ann of Mishawaka; four sons, Steve P, at home, Michael J. of Grant Park IL, R. Mark of Streator IL, and Thomas R. of Merrillville IN; 10 grandchildren; and his parents Mr & Mrs Henry L. Shabala of Mishawaka.

Services will be at 10am Monday in Christ the King Catholic Church with Rev. Joseph CSC, pastor, officiating.  Burial will be in St Joseph Valley Memorial Park.  Friends may call form 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm Sunday in the Welsheimer North Chapel, 52806 US 31 N, where the rosary will be recited at 7pm.  He was a Navy veteran of WW II and was a member of the church.  Memorial contributions may be made to St Joseph’s Medical Center Building Fund.
