Mrs. Harriet Justina Ritter, age 72,
wife of Benjamin F Ritter, died Saturday afternoon at 4:30
o'clock at her home on rural route No. 3, death following an
illness of several weeks. She was born in St Joseph County, June
24, 1849, and had lived in this vicinity nearly all her life. She
had resided in the present home for 22 years, previous to which
time she made her home for a few years in North Dakota.
Surviving are her husband, to whom she was
married Feb. 28, 1871; one son, AR Ritter, of Fairview, Mont.,
and three daughters, Mrs. Edna Fitch, of Bismarck, ND,
Mrs. Bertha Lewis, of Denver, Colo., and Mary E., at home.
The funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the
residence. Rev. Claude Young officiating. Burial will be in Mount
Pleasant cemetery.
