Frank Riffel
Frank Riffel, aged 78, of 1642 North Olive Street,
died in St. Joseph
Hospital at 6:30 p.m. Friday after a month's illness. He was born in
Johnston,
Pa., Jan 7, 1866, and lived most of his life here. His wife, Luella
Riffel,
died in 1928. He leaves five sons, Ralph Riffel of Kalamazoo, Mich.;
Albert,
of Lansing, Mich.; Oliver of Los Angeles, Calif., and John and Norman, of
South Bend; two daughters, Mrs. Howard Mendenhall, of South Bend, and
Mrs.
Genevieve Jones of Los Angeles; 21 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren;
and
two sisters. Mrs. Dan Lendel and Mrs. Henry Midderhoff, both of
Johnstown.
Friends will be received in the Hollis funeral home Sunday and until the
funeral at 9 a.m. Wednesday in Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church. Rev.
Phillip V.
Beaghan, pastor, will sing the mass. Burial will be in Riverview
cemetery.
