SOUTH BEND - Ashley Nickole Riffle,
5, of South Twyckenham Drive, South Bend, Ind., died at home
following an illness at 10:25 p.m. on Sunday, May 10. Ashley
Nickole was born to John R. and Tammy J. (Helenburg) Riffel on
Jan. 27, 1993, in Mishawaka, Ind., and was a lifelong area
resident.
She is survived by her parents; a sister,
Celia D. Riffel at home; a brother, Derrick J. Riffel at home;
maternal grandmother, Judith K. Helenburg of Mishawaka and
maternal great-grandmother, Clara Krill of South Bend;
paternal grandparents, Donald R. (and his wife Mary Ann) Riffel
of Mishawaka, and Susan (and her husband Martin) Horvat of
South Bend; and by several aunts and uncles.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1
p.m. on Thursday in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with
Rev. Terry Place officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph
Valley Memorial Park in Granger, Ind.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
today in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South
Bend, where a wake service will be held at 6 p.m. Memorial
