Grant Ellsworth Riddle

LAKEVILLE - Grant Ellsworth Riddle, 83, of Lake Trail, died of natural causes at 1:28 p.m. Monday in Memorial Hospital, South Bend. Mr. Riddle retired as a beekeeper and residential and commercial carpenter. He was born Feb. 27, 1913, in North Liberty.
On Jan. 27, 1940, in Kingsbury, Ind., he married Mary I. Wiseman. She died March 4, 1986. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Randall and Margaret of Everett, Wash. He was a member of United Brotherhood of Carpenter's and Joiners of America Local 413, South Bend, Studebaker Drivers Club, and Maple Grove United Methodist Church, South Bend.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the church. Burial will be in Union Mills Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Palmer Funeral Home and one hour before services in the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
