SOUTH BEND - Clifford Thomas Rich, 91, of 3032 Norway Maple Court, died at 10:55 p.m. Sunday in his home after an illness. Mr. Rich retired in 1966 from Dow Chemical Co., Midland, Mich. He was born Oct. 19, 1904, in Sault Ste. Marie, Mich.
In 1925, in Lansing, he married Grace Thompson. She died Nov. 10, 1970. He is survived by five daughters, Ruth R. Buswell of Albuquerque, N.M., Lucille F. Waldrop and Diana Sabin, both of Okmulgee, Okla., Janice Burger of Fort Mill, S.C., and Marjorie Morrison of Owego, N.Y.; a son, Lloyd S. of Niles; 70 grandchildren; numerous great, great-great-, and great-great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Elda M. Hare of Sault Ste. Marie; and a brother, Carlton G. of Sault Ste. Marie.
Private services and burial will be held at Memorial Gardens, Mount Pleasant, Mich. Halbritter Funeral Home, Niles, is in charge of arrangements.
