SOUTH BEND - Fred H. Rice, 90, of
Meadowview Ave., died at 4 a.m. Friday in Michiana Community
Hospital after an illness. Mr. Rice retired in 1968 as a bus
driver for South Bend Community School Corp. He was born April
16, 1903, in Inwood, and was a lifelong area resident.
On Nov. 12, 1927, in Plymouth, he married
Elva Irene Inbody. She survives, with a son, Fred of South
Bend; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
