SOUTH BEND - Anna B. Reynolds surrendered herself unto the Lord on April 27. Anna was born to the union of O.B. Taylor and Annie Lee Willis Taylor on November 2, 1940 in Trenton, Tennessee. Anna accepted Christ at an early age. She was baptized in the name of the Father and The Son and the Holy Spirit. She was a 1958 graduate of Roosewald High School. On November the 27th, 1959 she united in holy matrimony to Andrew Reynolds Jr. To that union three children were born. Richard Allen, Clarice Ann and Andrea Rebecca Reynolds; nine grandchildren, Kenneth West, Ishika Reynolds, Kendra Crew, Jasmine, Murray, Aisha, Andre Bishop, Bernard Terrell Jr.; four great-grandchildren, Andrew, Micaiha, Keshaun Tarae West; and a host of special cousins, family and friends. She had a dear companion and friend, Mr. Wayne. Anna has two sisters, Dorothy Smith of Trenton, Tennessee Marthal Boykin of Painesville, Ohio. She was preceded in death by husband, Andrew Reynolds Jr.; parents, O.B. and Annie Lee Willis Taylor; and sister, Emma Lee Taylor Clark. Anna was a member of Saint Paul Bethel Missionary Baptist Church since 1960. She remained a faithful member of the Senior Usher Board for over 30 years until her health failed. She was also a union steward first for Teamsters Union 154 and also she was the First Black African American on the board of Trustees. Anna worked at Memorial Hospital for 35 years. Anna was a country girl living in the city. She was known for humorous personality. She loved to cook soul food and throw lavish parties for her family and friends. Sweet B was everyone's mother on April 27 she won her battle with cancer. Her strength and courage was simply amazing through the grace of God 14th chapter of John "Let not the heart be troubled". Funeral services for Mrs. Anna B. Reynolds will be held on Monday, May 3, 2010 in the Saint Paul Bethel Baptist Church, 621 Lindsey St., South Bend, IN at 12 noon. Visitation services will be held on Sunday May 2, 2010 in the Clark-O'Neal Funeral Home, 2702 Lincolnway West, South Bend, IN, from 6 to 8 p.m. Burial will follow funeral services at Highland Cemetery. The Clark-O'Neal Funeral Home has been entrusted with funeral arrangements.
