George Remmo, aged 67, of New Castle, Ind., formerly a resident at 328 North Notre Dame avenue here, died at 5:15 p.m. Sunday in New Castle after three years illness. He was born in South Bend Jan. 31, 1882, and was married here to Bessie Vilare. She died in 1938. Surviving are two sons, Roy L Remmo, of Clay township, this county; Clyde L., of Little Rock, Ark., a daughter, Mrs. Earl Johnston, LaPorte, Ind., and three sisters, Mrs. U.B. Caldwell, of Granger, this county; Mrs. Nora Fox and Miss Nellie Remmo, South Bend. He was a member of St. James Episcopal church here. He had been away from South Bend about a year. The body is being taken to the Hickey funeral home here where friends may call after 1 p.m. Tuesday and until the funeral there at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Rev. Don H. Copeland, rector of St. James Episcopal church, will read the rites. Burial will bi in St. Joseph Valley Memorial park.
