Rolena Hoerstman Reiter, 95, of New Bern, N.C., formerly of Mishawaka, Ind., passed away on Sunday, Jan. 5, at Craven Regional Medical Center in North Carolina.
Mrs. Reiter was born Oct. 11, 1901, in Mishawaka and lived in this area most of her life. On Nov. 27, 1930, in Mishawaka, she married Homer Reiter. He preceded her in death on Feb. 11, 1969.
She is survived by a son, William Reiter of New Bern, N.C.; one daughter, Elizabeth Rodick of Atlanta, Ga.; seven grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
A memorial Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, in St. Monica Catholic Church, Mishawaka, with Rev. Joseph Jacobs officiating and Rev. William Sullivan concelebrating. Burial of remains will be in Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Joseph's Indian School, Chamberlain, SD 57326.
Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka, is handling local arrangements.
