SOUTH BEND - Rose Marie "Bugs" Reiner, 76,
passed away at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, January 6, 2008, in St. Joseph
Regional Medical Center. Rose Marie was born on May 5, 1931, in
South Bend, to Frank and Mary (Freitag) Reiner. She
retired from Bendix and was a member of Corpus Christi Church.
Bugs was also a member of Bowlers Country Club where she bowled
in the Tuesday Morning League, and where she loved to golf. She
also belonged to the former Moose Lodge. Surviving are her close
friend, Mary Teeter of South Bend; two sisters Carol (Tom)
Lorence of South Bend and Patricia Ann (Michael) Salley
of Edgewater, MD; three nieces, Suzanne (Eric) Machuca,
Jessica (Andre) Caldwell and Beth (Rob) Redmond; a
nephew David (Melinda) Lorence; a great-niece Mykenzie and two
great-nephews John and Max. A brother, Frank Reiner preceded her
in death.
A Memorial service will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 9, 2008, in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 S. Kemble Avenue. Family and friends may call 2 hours prior to services in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice, the American Cancer Society, or to Pet Refuge.
