Sister M. Frances Xavier Regan CSC, 83, of Saint Mary’s Convent, died at 2:59 a.m. Friday in her residence. She was born Oct. 4, 1980 in Baltimore as Mary Frances Regan. She entered the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross on Sept. 24,1934 coming from Baltimore; was received as a novice Aug. 15, 1935; and professed her vows Aug. 15, 1937. She was assigned as a secretary and business office clerk a and served at Mount Carmel Hospital, Columbus, Ind. from 1927 to 1939; and St. Mary Convent from 1950 to 1961; served at Cardinal Cushing College, Brookline, Mass. from 1961 to 1964; and from 1964 to 1991 at Holy Cross Shared Services and General Administration at Notre Dame.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Christ the King Chapel of St. Mary’s Convent with burial in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Friday in the convent parlors, where a wake will be at 7 p.m.
