SOUTH BEND - Hans Rach, 92, of 2609 S. Main Street, died Friday envening in Memorial Hospital after an extended illness. He was a retired cartpenter. He was born Aug. 13, 1877 in Posen, Germany, now Poznan, Poland, and had lived here since 1891 when he came from Germany.

 

On Aug 19, 1899 in South Bend, he married Mary Helermann, who survives; along with two sons, Edward C. Rach and Wilbur R, Rock, both of South Bend; three daughters, Mrs. Helen M. Toney and Mrs. Lillian C. Coe, both of South Bend, and Mrs. Esther R. Hartsough of Mishawaka; 10 grandchildre; 28 great-grandchildre, and three great-great-grandchildren.

 

Friends may call after 1 p.m. Sunday in the Welsheimer Funeral Home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday with Rev. Herbert Tetslaff, pastor of St. Peter United Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park. Mr. Rach was a member of the Woodmen of the World.
