SOUTH BEND - Gale L. Platz Jr., 58, died on Wednesday. He is survived by his wife, Tamilla J. (Cree) of South Bend; mother, Jean (Kosinski) Platz of LaPorte; daughters, Leah Timm of LaPorte and Tiffany Platz of South Bend; sons, Troy Platz of LaPorte and Trevor Platz of South Bend; and a sister, Sue Smith of LaPorte. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the New Carlisle United Methodist Church, where friends may visit from 10 - 11 a.m. Kaniewski Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
