SOUTH BEND - Bessie E. Pixley, 88, of Fort
Myers Beach, Fla., formerly of South Bend, died Friday in South
West Florida Regional Medical Center, Fort Myers, Fla. Mrs.
Pixley was born Sept. 20, 1905, in Gaines, Mich., and moved to
Florida in 1985, going there from South Bend.
Her husband, Noel R. Pixley, preceded her in
death. She is survived by a daughter, Joan ''Niki'' Cebulski of
Fort Myers, Fla.; a son, Arthur L. of Mishawaka; and several
grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A son, Eugene R., preceded
her in death.
Memorial services were held Tuesday in St.
Luke's Episcopal Church, Fort Myers. Burial will be in South Bend
at a later date. Direct Cremation Society, Punta Gorda, Fla.,
handled arrangments.
