Lucy B. Pilkinton

SOUTH BEND - Lucy B. Pilkinton, 50, of 403 N. Esther Ave., died at 11 p.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph's Medical Center of natural causes. Mrs. Pilkinton was a professional specialist in the business communication department at the University of Notre Dame. She was born Feb. 27, 1943, in Richmond, Va., and lived in South Bend for 10 years, coming from Ann Arbor.

 

On June 26, 1971, in Charlottesville, Va., as Lucy Blandford, she married Mark C. Pilkinton. He survives with two sons, George B. of Bloomington, Ind., and Luther B. at home; her mother, Florence Blandford of Baton Rouge, La.; and three sisters, Mary McGehee of Baton Route, Betty Haywood of Camp Zama, Japan, and Agnes Evans of Tabb, Va.

 

Private services will be conducted. Cremation will take place. Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday in Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, 435 S. Ironwood Drive. Memorial contributions may be made to Salvation Army or St. Jude Children's Hospital, Memphis, Tenn.
