SOUTH BEND - Regina J. "Reggie" Pilarski, born July 10, 1919, passed away September 12, 2009 at 90 in her home in Florida. Mrs. Pilarski was a resident of Ellenton, and was formerly of South Bend, Indiana. She was a member of St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church in Parrish, FL & St. Matthew Cathedral in South Bend. She was also a member of St. Adalbert Rosary Society. Regina was preceded in death by her parents, George and Sally (Czerniak) Krakowski, husband, Harry; brothers, Edmund and Aloysius Krakowski; and sisters, Henrietta Szymanski, Mary Banicki, Sister M. Theotima, C.S.C. and Sister M. Paulette, C.S.S.F. She is survived by her daughter, Carol (Steve) Dant; grandchildren, Carmen (Carmine) Marro, Lisa (Mark) LeBlanc, Derek Barger, Ryan (Marvilyn) Barger, Amanda (Tony) Ieraci and ten great-grandchildren. A memorial mass will be held Wednesday, September 16, 2009, at 2 pm at St. Matthew Cathedral in South Bend and also at St. Francis Cabrini in Parrish, on Thursday, September 24, 2009 at 8:30 a.m. A private Christian burial 'internment' will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the local Hospice. Arrangements by St. Joseph Funeral Home-Mayflower Road Chapel.
