Jacqueline Pignone

Jacqueline Pignone, 88, of Fountainview Place Mishawaka, passed away at 8:45 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, 2002, in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka. Jacqueline was born on September 30, 1914, in Mazara Del Vallo, Sicily, to Antonio and Maria Sciarrino who both have preceded her in death. Jacqueline was also preceded by one sister, Nardina Bono and three brothers, Gasper Sciarrino, Pete Sciarrino and Nino Sciarrino.

 

As Jacqueline Sciarrino, she married Rocco Pignone in Tripoli, Libya. Rocco preceded her in death.

Jacqueline is survived by one son, Paul (Mary) Pignone of Mishawaka, Ind.; three grandchildren, Paul (Ana) Pignone of New Milford, Conn., Theresa (Jerry) Manis of Osceola, Ind., and Maryann (Tim) Davis of Greenfield, Wis.; four great grandchildren, Megan and Nicholas Pignone and Amanda and Mathew Manis; and one sister, Maria Bono of Mazara Del Vallo, Sicily.

 

Family and friends may call on Sunday from 2 until 7 p.m. at the Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 N. Main Street, Mishawaka, where a rosary will be said at 3 p.m. on Sunday. Funeral services will take place at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 9, 2002, at St. Monica Catholic Church, 222 W. Mishawaka Ave., Mishawaka, Ind., with Father James Stoyle officiating. Burial will take place at Fairview Cemetery Mishawaka. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Monica's Student Tuition Fund.
