Mrs Amelia Piechorowska, aged 85 of 501 So. Meade street,
died at 12.53 a.m. today in her home after two days illness that followed
a "Stroke of Apoplexy. She was born in Wasosz, Poland, October
25, 1853 the daughter of Peter and Francis (Gorska) Chmielewski and came to
this country in 1882 with her husband Jan and their family, deceased 1926.
Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Helen Manuszak, Mrs. Stella Karaczewski,
Mrs. Josephine Zarembka, Mrs. Mary Stypczynski, Mrs.Francis Tarwacki, Mrs. Anna
Balcerzak with whom she lived and sons, Julius, Stanislaus and Louis; 41
grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. Friends will be received in the home
Funeral services will be held Friday morning at St.
Adalberts Roman Catholic with Msg. John W Osadnik, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in St. Joseph's Polish Cemetery.
