Barry Clyde
Pickens, 40, of 249 N. Illinois St., died at 3:30pm Sunday in St
Joseph’s Medical Center, following an illness.
He was born September
22, 1944, in Champaign IL, and lived in South Bend since 1965.
He was formerly employed at Currage Ironwork. Surviving are
three daughters, DiShione Cobb of Colorado Springs CO, Dionne
Pickens of Champaign, and Dionna Pickens of South Bend; three
sons, Barry C. Jr. and Cameron, both of St Louis MO, and Sherman
of Johnson City TN; a grandchild; a sister, Joyce Ross of South
Bend; a brother, Terry of South Bend; and his mother, Lois
Pickens of South Bend.
Graveside
services will be at 10am Wednesday in Highland Cemetery. Friends
may call from 7 to 9pm Tuesday in Alford’s Mortuary.
