Thomas F. Philion
Thomas F. Philion, 79, Union Township, died Aug. 24 in Reading Hospital.
He was the husband of Gladys (Schurr) Philion.
Born in Mishawaka, Ind., he was a son of the late Lucian
J. Philion Sr. and Louise E. (Muinch) Philion.
Philion served in the Navy for many years, retiring as a
commander June 30, 1964. He was a veteran of World War II. He was later
employed as a mathematics teacher at Spring-Ford High School in Montgomery
County, retiring June 17, 1986.
He is also survived by a son, Michael T., Elverson.
Other survivors include a sister, Mary Lou (Philion)
Morin, Mishawaka; and two grandchildren.
Services will be Monday at 10 a.m. in Emmanuel Lutheran
Church, Pottstown. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reiffton.
Dengler Funeral Home Inc., Birdsboro, is in charge of arrangements.
