   Services for Violet Petersen, 81,  of 1244 Elliott St., who died at 10 p.m. Sunday in Memorial Hospital, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in St. Paul's Lutheran church, of which she was a member. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Osceola. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday in the church. Welsheimer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the church building fund or to a charity of the donor's choice.   Mrs. Peterson was born May 11, 1905, in Chicago, and moved to South Bend in 1934. On June 12, 1926, in Chicago, she married Harold M. Petersen. He died Jan. 26, 1984. Mrs. Petersen had taught Sunday School and sang in the church choir. She was a member of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League, the Valparaiso Guild, the Altar Guild and the Women's Circle.
