SOUTH BEND - Kathleen Joyce Perkins, 52, of South Bend, IN passed away at 7:30 a.m. Thursday, May 29, 2008, in her home. She was born May 23, 1956, in South Bend to Richard E. and Joyce Lorraine (Alexander) Perkins. Kathleen is survived by her mother, Joyce Lorraine Perkins of South Bend, IN; two sisters, Karen (Kent) Everly of South Bend and Sylvia (Jeffrey) Smallwood of Niles; three brothers, Dan (Nancy) Perkins of Plymouth, Thomas (Shannon) Perkins of Goshen and David (Shelley) Perkins of Casa Grande, AZ. Her father, Richard E. Perkins preceded her in death on December 18, 1987. Kathleen was a lifelong resident and worked at Logan Industries. She loved rainbows.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Monday, June 2, 2008 in Community Baptist Church, 5715 Miami Road, South Bend. Dr. Bud Steadman will officiate. Burial will follow in Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend. Friends may visit with the family from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Saturday, May 31, 2008 in the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St., South Bend and one hour prior to the services in church on Monday. Contributions may be offered to Hospice House, 111 Sunnybrook Ct., South Bend, IN 46637 or the Community Baptist Church.
