SOUTH BEND - Rufus Peppers Jr., 73, of Buchanan, Tenn., formerly of South Bend, died Tuesday in St. Thomas Hospital, Nashville, Tenn.

Survivors include his wife, Betty M. (Dean); two daughters, Janet Vaghy of South Bend and Carol Geehring of Mishawaka; two sons, Doug and Mark, both of Paris, Tenn.; five sisters, Kathryn Hoggard, Dorothy Mickey, Jean Ceccenese, Lorraine Wiess and Erma Riedel; and four brothers, Walt, Doyle, Richard and Larry.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in McEvoy Funeral Home Chapel, Paris, where friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today and after 10 a.m. Friday.
