"DIES AT 76:  MRS. ALICE PELTZ"

Mrs. Alice Peltz, aged 76, of 1009 North Meade street, died in her home at 11:08 a.m. Saturday after an illness of 16 months.  She was born in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, Sept. 5, 1865, and had lived in South Bend for 45 years, coming here from Canada.   She is survived by the following children: Gordon Peltz, West Virginia; I.T. Peltz, Mrs. M.T. Swanson, W.H. Peltz, and Mrs. John Horning, all of South Bend; Mrs. Theodore Schubert, California; Oscar Peltz, Bourbon, Ind., and 23 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.  She is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Maude Watts, of Toronto, Canada.  Mrs. Peltz was a member of the First Presbyterian church, and a charter member of the local lodge of Royal Neighbors.  Friends will be received in the A.M. Russell Chapel from 1:30 p.m., today until the time of funeral services, which will be held in the Russell chapel at 2:30 p.m. Monday, the Rev. J. J. Bailey of Crown Point, Ind., officiating.  Burial will be in Highland cemetery.
