Paul O. Pedersen, 72, of Lenson Drive, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away at 7:19 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 10, in St. Joseph Community Hospital, Mishawaka. Mr. Pedersen was born on March 11, 1928, in South Bend, Ind., as the son of the late Edward and Petrine Pedersen. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Esther Tempete and Nancy Legget.

On Sept. 17, 1949, in St. Stan's Catholic Church, South Bend, he married the former Clara Nowaczewski. Mr. Pedersen is survived by his wife of 51 years, Clara; one daughter, Kathleen (Oscar) Gonzalez of Dallas, Texas; one grandson, Dustin M. Pridmore of Dallas; one granddaughter, Shelby L. Pridmore of Dallas; and by one sister, Karin Rasmussen of South Bend. Mr. Pedersen was employed by the former Uniroyal. He was a United States Navy veteran and a member of V.F.W. Post 360, Mishawaka.

There will be no visitation. A memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 14, in St. Monica's Catholic Church, Mishawaka, with Rev. Derrick Sneyd officiating. In lieu of flowers, Mr. Pedersen's family requests contributions be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Indiana State Chapter, 7301 Georgetown Road, #112, Indianapolis, IN 46268; or to the American Cancer Society, 535 West Edison Street, Unit #6, Mishawaka, IN 46545.
