Mrs. Domenico (Alfonsina Capponi) Nicolini, 83, of 512 W. Tenth St., Mishawaka, died March 15, in the coronary care unit at St. Joseph Hospital Mishawka, following a week's illness.

Mrs. Domenico Nicolini

Mishawaka – Mrs. Alfonsina Nicolini, 83, of 514 W. 10th Street, died about midnight Friday in the coronary care unit at St. Joseph Hospital. She had been ill the past week.  She was born in Modenna, Italy on Feb. 23, 1891, and had lived in Mishawaka since 1923 coming from Steubenville OH. As Alfonsia Capponi, she was married in Switzerland on June 22, 1908 to Domenico Nicolini who survives. Also surviving are a son, Armando and a daughter Mrs. Julius Birocci, both of Mishawaka; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one great-great grandchild; and two sisters, Mrs. Fulvia Lamandini and Mrs. Zelia Minelli, both of Italy.

Friend may call after 7 p.m. Sunday at the DeVos Funeral Chapel, where arrangements are being completed. Mrs. Nicolini was a member of the DeAmicio Club auxiliary and St. Bavo’s parish.
