Doris L. Nicodemus, 79, of Liberty Drive, Mishawaka, passed away at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, at her residence, following an illness. She was born October 3, 1922, in South Bend, Indiana, to Wilbur and Elizabeth Firestone, who preceded her in death.

On July 28, 1963, she married Lloyd L. Nicodemus in South Bend. He survives with two daughters, Judy A. Hirsch of Elkhart and Cheryl Dzvonar of Mishawaka; two sons, Jim (Wilma) Dunning and Jon (Julie) Nicodemus, both of Mishawaka. Also surviving are ten grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren. Two brothers, Eugene (Joan) Firestone of Osceola and Robert (Marion) Firestone of North Liberty.

Mrs. Nicodemus was a member of the VFW Post 360 Ladies Auxiliary, the VFW Post 1167, South Bend and past president of the District VFW.

Funeral services for Mrs. Nicodemus will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 North Main Street, Mishawaka, where friends will be received from 11 a.m. until the time of services Monday.
