LAKEVILLE - Raymond Neirynck, 95, of Lakeville, IN, passed
away at 5:15 p.m. Monday, August 18, 2008, in his home. He was
born January 4, 1913, in Mishawaka, IN. On May 8, 1937, in
Mishawaka, IN, he married Margaret (Rodts) Neirynck, who
preceded him in death on August 14, 1984. On April 6, 1985, he
married Norma (Higginbotham) Kaufman, who survives.
Mr. Neirynck is survived by his wife, Norma; a daughter, Sharon Wallace
of LaPaz, IN; a son, Ronald (Sandra) Neirynck of Walkerton, IN;
stepdaughter, Betty L. (Don) Cornelius of Niles, MI; two
stepsons, Charles H. (Renee`) Kaufman Jr. of South Bend, IN, and
Gerald (Diane) Kaufman of Lakeville, IN; three grandchildren,
Randall (Kelly) Neirynck, Brian Neirynck and Dawn Marie Wallace;
six great-grandchildren, Ronda, Randall Jr. and Ryan Neirynck,
Tyler Kane, Kiya and Berlin Wallace; six
step-grandchildren, Donald (Tammy Kehoe) Cornelius, Anjonette
(Robert) Pezan, Stacey (Richard) Siri, Stephanie (Robert)
Kracker, Nicole (Ben) Hurt and Jerry Lee Kaufman; 10
step-great-grandchildren, Tanner, Emily, Noah, Micah, Rebekah,
Kennedy, Ethan, Charley Rae, Reese and Tara. Brother, Rene
Neirynck, grandson, Jimmy Wallace, and stepdaughter, Betty Eufemi,
preceded him in death. Mr. Neirynck was a farmer and also drove a
school bus for over 32 years for St. Jude Catholic School, Centre
Township Schools and the Union North United School Corporation.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 21, 2008, in the Palmer Funeral Home, 314 S. Michigan St., Lakeville, IN. Rev. Paul Choorathottiyil, V.C., will officiate. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, South Bend. Friends may visit with the family from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. today in the funeral home, where a Rosary will be said at 4:00 p.m. Contributions may be made to The Center for Hospice & Palliative Care, Inc., 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637.
