Bernard Nawrocki

June 6, 1916 - March 31, 1998

SOUTH BEND - Bernard ''Ben'' Nawrocki, 81, of South Kaley Street, South Bend, Ind., died at 4 a.m. on Tuesday, March 31, in his residence.

He was born on June 6, 1916, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident. He retired from the Bendix Corporation.

Mr. Nawrocki is survived by three nieces, Barb White of South Bend, Pat Morse of Gurnee, Ill., Shirley McCallister of New Carlisle, Ind.; and by a nephew, Robert Nawrocki of South Bend.

Mr. Nawrocki was preceded in death by four brothers, Anton ''Tony,'' Joseph, Chester ''Nitto'' and Leonard ''Peanuts''; and by a sister, Florence Nowak.

Mr. Nawrocki was a veteran of World War II. He was a member of American Legion Post 297, Veteran of Foreign Wars Post 1954, and was a member of the 99th Infantry Division Company B.

Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday in the St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Road, where a Rosary will be said at 4 p.m.

Services will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday at St. Adalbert Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
