Julia C. Nauts

Julia C. Nauts, 95, of Fountainview Place, Mishawaka, Ind., formerly of South Spring Street, Mishawaka, passed away after an illness at 11:45 a.m. on Friday, May 5, in Fountainview Place.

Mrs. Nauts was born on March 14, 1905, in Evergem, Belgium. Mrs. Nauts moved to the Michiana area in 1921 from Evergem.

 

On Jan. 12, 1923, in South Bend, Ind., as the former Julia Van De Gehuchte, she married Raphael "Ray" Nauts, who preceded her in death on Nov. 7, 1973. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Clara Van De Cotte. She is survived by a brother, Chris Van De Gehuchte, and by several nieces and nephews.

 

Mrs. Nauts was a member of St. Bavo's Catholic Church, Mishawaka. She was also a member of the B-K Club Ladies Auxiliary Sodality, Mishawaka.

 

Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 10, in the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 West 8th Street, Mishawaka, where a Rosary will be recited at 3:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 11, in St. Bavo's Catholic Church, Mishawaka, with Rev. James Shafer officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka. Contributions in memory of Mrs. Nauts may be made to St. Bavo's Catholic Church, 511 W. 7th Street, Mishawaka, IN 46544.
