Mrs. Mary M. Nagy

Mrs. Mary M. Nagy, 75, of 714 S. Dundee St., died at 6:45 p.m. Friday in the Ridgedale Nursing home after an extended illness. She was born Dec. 18, 1899, in South Bend and was a lifetime resident of the area. On Jan. 11, 1917, in South Bend, as Mary Kertesz, she was married to Paul C. Nagy, who died Jan 16, 1964.

Surviving are two sons, Alex P. and Ernest J., both of South Bend; four daughters, Mrs. Irene Trzcinski of Plymouth, Mrs. Kathern Morence of Livermore, Calif., Mrs. Frieda McCarthy of Saginaw, Mich., and Mrs. Jeanne Kacarab of North Canton, Ohio; 25 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Anthony Kertis of Milwaukee, and three sisters, Mrs. Helen Gerencser and Mrs. Anne Karacson, both of South Bend, and Mrs. Ida Vanpornhout of Livermore, Calif.

Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the Zahoran Funeral Home, where a wake service will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with Rev. Richard J. Kennedy, C.S.C., pastor officiating. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Nagy was a member of the William Penn Society and the American Legion Post 272 Auxiliary.
