MISHAWAKA - Dale T. Morton, 71, died Tuesday, April 8, in
Saint Joseph Medical Center, South Bend. He was born on May 29,
1936, in South Bend, to the late Ida (Smith) and Gus
Morton. A brother, William Morton, also preceded him in death.
Mr. Morton is survived by a daughter, Denise Morton of South
Bend; two sons, Dale M. and Jim (Trish) Morton, both of South
Bend; two grandchildren; and a sister, Connie June (George) Nyerges
of Granger. Mr. Morton was employed by Uniroyal Corporation and
had served in the United States Army.
Services for Mr. Morton will be at 11 a.m.
Monday, April 14, in the mausoleum at Highland Cemetery, South
Bend. There will be no visitation. Per Mr. Morton's wishes, the
body has been cremated, with burial at Highland Cemetery. The
Welsheimer Family Funeral Homes assisted the family with
arrangements. The family request that memorial contributions be
made to the Center for Hospice and Palliative Care, 111
Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637.
