Jan. 23, 1954 - April 20, 2010SOUTH BEND - Michael "Mike" Lane Morris of Rockbridge Baths, Virginia, formerly of South Bend, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 20, 2010. He was born on January 23, 1954 in Mishawaka to Donald O. and Dollie (Lane) Morris. Mike is survived by a daughter, Kimberly (Greg) Toth and granddaughter, Sydney, of Indianapolis; brother, Jeffrey Morris of Rockbridge Baths, VA; sisters, Donita Morris Staples and Donna Barker, both of South Bend; and Aunt Darlene (Bill) Johnson of South Bend. Mike is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Mike was preceded in death by his mother in December of 1992; his father in June of 1998; and his sister, Jeanell Morris Taravella in June of 2002. Mike was a loving, caring father, brother and uncle who was loved very much and will be greatly missed. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, April 30, 2010 at the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan Street, South Bend from 4:00-6:00 p.m. where a memorial service will begin at 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Michael Lane Morris may be donated to the Palmer Funeral Home to assist with expenses.
