Leona M. Morgan, 93, of the Holy Cross Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, died at 10:03 a.m. on Wednesday, March 4, in the nursing center.

Leona was born in Amsterdam, Belgium, on May 14, 1904, to Edmund and Mary (Heleburghe) Synave. She had lived most of her life in the United States.

On Nov. 29, 1929, Leona married Theodore Morgan, who preceded her in death in 1975.

She is survived by a daughter, Colleen Jumps of Mishawaka, Ind.; two sons, Gene Morgan of South Bend and Randy Morgan of Granger, Ind.; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and by a sister, Irene Daurer of South Bend.

Funeral services for Leona M. Morgan will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday at the Guisinger Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 3718 S. Michigan Street, South Bend. Burial will take place in the Tippecanoe Cemetery, Tippecanoe, Ind.

Visitation for Leona will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. on Sunday in the Guisinger Colonial Chapel Funeral Home.
