Yvonne Moraschi

MISHAWAKA - Yvonne Moraschi, 87, formerly of Berkley Circle, passed away after an illness at 11:45 p.m. on Tues-day, Aug. 4, in the Cardinal Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, South Bend, Ind.

Mrs. Moraschi was born on Aug. 17, 1910, in Waarschoot, Belgium, as the daughter of the late Valaere and Estella (Meire) De Paepe.

On Nov. 30, 1933, in Mishawaka, Ind., as Yvonne De Paepe, she married Vincent Moraschi, who preceded her in death on March 29, 1992.

Mrs. Moraschi is survived by a daughter, Mary Ann Dewald of Mishawaka; five grandchildren, Debra (Farrell) Holland, Sandra (Nick) DeCicco, both of Mishawaka, Linda (Dennis) O'Donnell of Osceola, Ind., James E. (Della) Dewald, Jr., and George V. (Linda Buchtel) Dewald, both of Mishawaka; 12 great-grandchildren, Jimmy, Gina, Vince, Augusta, Aubrey, Austynne, Micki, Rocco, Nicola, Dennis, Shannon and Knute. She also leaves one sister, Antoinette ''Tony'' (Claude) Palmer of Mishawaka.

Mrs. Moraschi was the former owner and operator of Moraschi Ferrettie Grocery in Mishawaka.

She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Mishawaka, Daughters of Isabelle, Therisians D. of I., DeAmici's Auxiliary, the Rosary Society, and was a volunteer at St. Joseph Community Hospital in Mishawaka.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Moraschi will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 7, in the St. Joseph Catholic Church, 225 S. Mill Street, Mishawaka, with Rev. Robert Yast officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today in the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. A Rosary will be recited at 3:45 p.m. today in the funeral home.
