SOUTH BEND - Jessie P. Moraschi, 94, passed away in the early morning hours of Saturday, December 6, in her home. Jessie was born in South Bend as the daughter of the late Edward "Morton" and Bertha (World) "Worle" Duffy. She was preceded in death by her parents; a half brother, James Tyler; and by a son, Frank Moraschi. On July 27, 1957, in South Bend, as Jessie Duffy, she married Louis Moraschi, who preceded her in death on July 27, 1997. Surviving are children, Rosemary Di Renzo of Plattsburgh, NY, Karon (Roy) Showalter of South Bend and Sharon Mars of San Diego, CA; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Jessie worked for the U.S. Department of Labor for 25 years as an administration assistant until she retired in 1977.

 

Family and friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday, December 8, in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 9, in the funeral home. Entombment will be held in the Riverview Cemetery Mausoleum, South Bend. Contributions may be made in memory of Jessie to The Center for Hospice and Palliative Care, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637; or to Pet Refuge, 2300 W. 6th St., Mishawaka, IN 46544.
