Robert P. Moorhead, 80, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 16, in Community Hospital, New Port Richey, Fla.

 

He was a former Mishawaka, Ind., businessman. He was the owner of Bob's Hobby Shop and also the Alpha Art Galley in Mishawaka. He operated the Hobby Shop from 1947 until 1980, sold the Hobby Shop and continued the Art Gallery from 1975 until 1988. In 1990 he and his wife, Roberta "Bobbie," retired to Chokoloskee Island, Fla. In 1999 they moved to their present address in New Port Richey.

 

He is survived by his wife, Roberta; two daughters, Kathy Palmiter of Williams, Ind., and Michele Mynsberge of Lee, N.H.; one son, Scott Moorhead in Tarpon Springs, Fla.; and by six grandchildren.

 

He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in the Signal Corps. He was a 53-year member of Mishawaka Masonic Lodge No. 130 F&A.M., and the Mishawaka-Osceola Chapter 83 R.A.M.
