June 26, 1930 - May 9, 2010MISHAWAKA - Helen A. Moore, 79, of Mishawaka, IN, passed away at 6:00 AM Sunday, May 9, 2010, in Sunset House, Mishawaka. She was born on June 26, 1930, in South Bend, IN, to Leonard and Jennie (LaFaucia) Madison, and remained a lifelong resident. On July 17, 1948, in South Bend, IN, she married Bill E. Moore, who preceded her in death on June 19, 1997. Helen is survived by her daughter, Becky Toops of Mishawaka; her son and daughter-in-law, Marvin J. and Cindy Moore of Osceola; four grandchildren, Bill Toops, Dana Toops, Mindy (Dr. Jeff) Steele and Eric (Amanda Anderson) Moore; three great-grandchildren, Erika Toops, Jarrett Toops and Nolan Moore, and two great-grandchildren on the way; and her two sisters, Vickie Wolfe of South Bend and Genevieve Kuespert of Granger. Three sisters, Mary Madison, Anna Crist and Francie Redman, and two brothers, James Madison and Leonard Madison Jr., all preceded her in death. Helen enjoyed baking and playing the piano. She also enjoyed gardening, and keeping her lawn looking good and decorated with yard ornaments. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 12, in Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend, IN. Rev. Ronald Drake will officiate. Graveside services and burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka. Friends may visit with the family from 4:00 - 8:00 PM today in the funeral home.
