Mary S. Molnar (Oct. 25, 1911 -- May 15, 2004)

Mary S. Molnar, 92, of the Cardinal Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, formerly of Portage Road in South Bend, Ind., passed away at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 15, in the rehabilitation center.

She was born on Oct. 25, 1911, to Stephen and Lydia (Meszaros) Farkas in South Bend, and was a lifelong resident. Her parents, one sister, Irene Forslund, one brother, Stephen Farkas, and one brother-in-law, John Fekete, all preceded her in death.

On June 29, 1935, as Mary S. Farkas, she married Steven J. Molnar in Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in South Bend. He died on March 23, 1977.

She is survived by one daughter, Gloria S. Henry of South Bend; one son, Anthony P. Molnar of South Bend; five grandchildren, Cathleen S. Ritter, Kevin D. Henry, Michael A. Molnar, Kelly M. Hainbaugh and Tammy S. Nyers; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Helen (Daniel) Szczechowski of Mishawaka, Ind., and Julie Fekete of Granger, Ind.

Mrs. Molnar was a member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church and the Order of Eastern Star.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 20, in Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, with Rev. Tina Velthuizen officiating. Entombment will follow at Riverview Cemetery.

Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 19, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend.
