Mary Molnar (Oct. 6, 1911 - Aug 21, 1998)

SOUTH BEND - Mary Molnar, 86, of 316 S. St. Joseph Street, South Bend, Ind., passed away at 7:20 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 21, in the Ironwood Health and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born on Oct. 6, 1911, in Koszeg, Hungary, to Steve and Francesca Nagy, who both preceded her in death. Mrs. Molnar had lived in South Bend since 1930 when she came from Hungary.

On Jan. 6, 1934, in South Bend, as Mary Nagy, she married Steven Molnar. He died on July 18, 1961.

Mary is survived by two daughters, Caroline (Jack) Victor of Arlington, Texas and Mary Ann Molnar of South Bend; two sons, Steve (Alice) Mate of Long Beach, Miss., and Louis (Renee) Molnar of South Bend; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two sisters in Hungary; and by numerous relatives in Hungary and Canada.

There will be no services or visitation. Cremation has taken place with burial in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
