SOUTH BEND - Robert J. Molenda, 64, of 51890 Hollyhock Road, died at 4:20 a.m. Sunday in his home after an illness. Mr. Molenda retired from the South Bend Stamping Division of EWI Inc. after 25 years of service.

He was born Feb. 28, 1929, in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident. On Jan. 3, 1986, in South Bend, he married Nancy L. Huston. She survives with a daughter, Karen Hundt of Nappanee; five sons, Brian of Palm City, Fla., Neil of Arlington, Va., Craig of LaPorte, and Paul and Michael, both of Forestville, Va.; two stepdaughters, Jamie Soule of Granger and Nannette Cunningham of Bremen; nine grandchildren; and a brother, Ronald L. of South Bend. A daughter, Michelle Klinger, preceded him in death. He was a member of Community Congregational Church and was a veteran of the Korean War.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Welsheimer Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Road. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County Inc.
