Linda J. Mize, 49, of York Street, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away after an illness at 3:30 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 6, in Hospice House of St. Joseph Coun-ty.
Mrs. Mize was born on July 21, 1950, in Elkhart, Ind. She was a lifelong area resident. She was preceded in death by her mother, Damaris Shaffer on March 2, 1997. Mrs. Mize was employed by Sally Beauty Supply, Mishawaka.
On Sept. 1, 1979, in Penway Church of Christ, Mishawaka, as the former Linda Shaffer, she married Ron Mize. Mrs. Mize is survived by her husband Ron of 20 years; a daughter, Jessica (Daniel) Coussens of Mishawaka; a grandson, Ryan Coussens, and a granddaughter, Nicole Coussens; two sisters, Jackie (Doug) Beals and Daphine Weaver, both of Mishawaka; and by two brothers, John (Gita) Shaffer of South Bend, Ind., and William (Michelle) Barnett of Mishawaka.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday in the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 9, in the funeral home, with Rev. Erv Mize officiating.
