MISHAWAKA -- Rosa A. Mitchell, 84 died at 5:35 p.m. Sunday, December 31, 2006, in Hospice House. She was born in Mishawaka on October 11, 1922, to Alexander and Olga (Stasula) Sykonnyk.

Rosa married James N. Mitchell on December 7, 1946, in San Diego, CA. He survives. Among other survivors are a sister, Natalie Winrote of South Bend; a half-sister Mary Hacker of Mishawaka; two brothers, William Moshak of Mishawaka and John Moshak of Skokie, IL. Mrs. Mitchell was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Katherine Van Huffel and Ann Grzekowiak; a brother, Anthony Moshak; three half-sisters, Olga Grubbs, Helen Mikuyuk, and Jean Jerzak.

Rosa had formerly worked as an administrative assistant and vice president at Studebaker and at Wheelabrator. She was a member of the Mary Ann Club and the Julianna Club at Wheelabrator.

Friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m. Wednesday January 3 in Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 N. Main St.

Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 10 a.m. Thursday. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County, 111 Sunnybrook Ct., South Bend, Indiana 46637.
