Maxine V. Miltenberger

SOUTH BEND - Maxine V. Miltenberger, 82, of Ivy Road, South Bend, Ind., passed away after a brief illness on Saturday, Aug. 29, in St. Joseph's Medical Center. She was born on Nov. 1, 1915, in Martinsburg, W.Va., to George and Mary (Kendrick) Mossman, who have preceded her in death.

 

On Nov. 19, 1938, Maxine married Earl Miltenberger, who also preceded her in death on April 8, 1974. She is survived by two daughters, Earline Parisi of Valencia, Calif., and Betty Tevis of Shelbyville, Ind.; two sons, Charles Miltenberger of South Bend and Jack Miltenberger of Granger, Ind.; eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; and by a sister, Dorothy Behling of South Bend.

 

Maxine was a lifetime member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge 435, South Bend, and was a member of the Basilica of the Sacred Heart, Notre Dame, Ind.

 

A Mass will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 31, in the Basilica, with visitation one hour prior to the service in the Basilica. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Arrangements are being handled by the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home, Mishawaka, Ind.
