SOUTH BEND - Ervin R. Miltenberger, 60, of 515 E. Monroe St., died at 12:05 a.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph's Medical Center of natural causes. Mr. Miltenberger retired in 1983 from Valley American Bank as a security guard. He was born Oct. 4, 1933, in St. Joseph County, and was a lifelong area resident. He is survived by his mother, Cleo Miltenberger of South Bend; and six sisters, Phyllis Reed of Fremont, Calif., Joan Mace of Newark, Calif., Darlene Eaglebarger of Mishawaka, Donnalee Goldstone of Chicago, and Bernice Grant and Judy Cartwright, both of South Bend. He was a Navy veteran.

There will be no services or visitation. Cremation will take place. Hollis-Orvis-Palmer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
