OSCEOLA - Robert A. Mills Sr., 83 of Osceola, passed away of natural causes at 12:45 a.m. Tuesday, June 3, 2008, in his residence. Robert was born August 26, 1924, in Chicago, Illinois, to George J. and Mary M. (Rogers) Mills. On December 4, 1948, Robert was united in marriage to the former Ms. Donna J. White in Chicago, and they had resided in the area since 1964. Donna preceded him in death, passing away in 1987. Surviving are his children, Robert A. Mills Jr., Donna J. Miller and Gordon J. Mills, all of Osceola, three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Robert was preceded in death by his sisters, Margaret Kelly and Katherine Bryant.

There will be no visitation, and private burial will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Chapel Hill Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Robert was employed for over 20 years by Allied Stamping in South Bend prior to his retirement in 1991. He enjoyed watching boxing, playing cards, and spending time outdoors.
