Charlotte Ann Miller, 73, of West 11th Street, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away at noon on Wednesday, March 31, in Hospice House, South Bend, Ind. She was born on Jan. 22, 1926, in South Bend, to the late Russell and Fannie (Waggoner) Ives. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Jean Kovach; a brother, Paul Ives; and by two grandchildren, Brian Miller and Nicholas Smith.

On July 17, 1961, Charlotte married Wayne Miller, who survives. She is also survived by a daughter, Georgianna Dye of Elkhart, Ind.; a stepdaughter, Deanna Biery of South Bend; a stepson, Jim Miller of Walkerton, Ind.; four grandchildren, Kristie and Katie Kovach of Mishawaka, Derek Deardorff of Elkhart and David Deardorff of Portland, Ore.; four step-grandchildren, Terri Briggs of South Bend, Debbie Berkebie of Walkerton, Ind., Danny South of Texas and Becky Jackson of Osceola, Ind.; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Eleanor Wilson of South Bend; and by a brother, Bill Ives of Yucappi, Calif. Charlottte retired in 1976 from UniRoyal (Ball Band) in Mishawaka. She was a member of the Second Wind Group in South Bend, the VFW Post 4054 Auxiliary in Marcellus, Mich., and the American Legion Post 39 Auxiliary in Marcellus.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today, April 2, in the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home, Mishawaka. Services will be held in the funeral home at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 3, with Br. Steve Nani officiating. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Memorial contributions may be made to the Second Wind Group, c/o Juanita Attard, Memorial Hospital, 615 N.
