Edward J. (Milewski) Miles: (South Bend Tribune 7/16/1965)

Edward J. Miles, 37, of 728 Manchester Dr., died at 2 p.m. Thursday in St. Joseph’s Hospital after a two year illness. He was an employee of Lindsay Soft Water Co. He was born Nov. 29, 1927 in South Bend. He was married on Oct. 5, 1946 to the former Philonese Chayle, who survives. Other survivors include his mother, Mrs. Julianna Milewski, South Bend; a son Ronald E., four daughters, Sandra Marie, Mary Ann and Jean Ann and Kathleen Ann, all at home. Friends may call after 7 p.m. Saturday at Kaniewski & Sons Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Monday in St. Joseph’s Church, with Rev. Joseph F. Murphy, C.S.C., pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. The parish rosary will be recited  at 7 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
